Physically Modeled Atmosphere

Weather and atmospheric conditions in rFpro can be either live-tuned or pre-programmed. You may control the weather from the rFpro Admin Console, or it may be controlled by the modelling tool you use to create your tests and experiments, for example when you create a test in IPG Carmaker, the settings used are automatically transferred to rFpro.


The following series of images show changes to the weather to add clouds, increasing levels of precipitation and finally snow.

Run multiple variations of the same experiment with different weather conditions, time of year and time of day. The following gallery shows exactly the same frame of an experiment, that has been executed multiple times, each time in different weather and lighting conditions.

Reflections and Lighting

Lighting is modelled accurately for the specified latitude and longitude, day of the year, time of day and atmospheric and weather settings. This is particularly important for the testing and training of ADAS, Autonomous and Deep Learning systems, where camera sensors can be confused by challenging lighting conditions.
